FilmFestivals.com Chooses Akamai to Launch Online Interactive Film Portal
"Akamai's FreeFlow Streaming service delivers Filmfestivals.com's films and videos to its online audience with enhanced performance and reliability and optimizes the website's operation even during peak traffic periods," announced Filmfestivals president, Malo Girod de l'Ain, and COO Bruno Chatelin.
Filmfestivals.com has launched its online interactive film portal with the online world premieres of six new feature-length films for broadband users showcased during the Sundance, Rotterdam and Berlin film festivals.
The server's broadband portal, FilmfestivalsTV.com, will also netcast a wide range of online tools and content related to the six films to enhance the interactive screening experience. These will include, for each film, background, interviews with stars and filmmakers, stills, festival track records, dedicated forum, chat rooms, film quiz, and film soundtrack elements.
