(NASDAQ: AKAM), the leading provider of distributed application and content delivery services, today announced an alliance designed to simplify Internet infrastructure requirements for businesses seeking optimal Web performance.

AXS, which serves markets that require high-speed image and data access such as e-business and e-learning, will become a premier member of the Akamai Alliance Program, providing its customers with access to Akamai's broad range of services through a single-source provider. In addition, AXS' EyeSpy^TM Image Server has been Akamai-certified as compatible with the Akamai EdgeSuite service, enabling businesses to efficiently leverage the Companies' complementary offerings for top Web performance.
