Cambridge, MA - November 13, 2001 - Akamai Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: AKAM), the leading provider of secure, outsourced, e-business infrastructure services and software, today announced it has promoted Michael Ruffolo to Executive Vice President of Global Sales, Services and Marketing. Mr. Ruffolo joined the company in August of 2001 as Executive Vice President. In his new and expanded capacity, he will lead Akamai's worldwide sales, service delivery, channels, business development, corporate communications and marketing services organizations. He will continue to report directly to George Conrades, Akamai's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
