President Bush Appoints Akamai Chairman and CEO to National Infrastructure Advisory Committee
As a member of the NIAC, Mr. Conrades joins 23 other individuals from private sector, academia, and state and local government organizations, including the City of New York, DuPont Company, Intel Corporation, James Madison University, Pfizer Inc., Union Pacific Corporation, and Wells Fargo, who have responsibility for making recommendations regarding the security of the cyber and information systems of the United States' national security and critical infrastructures. The NIAC, which shall be composed of not more than 30 members appointed by the President, will also examine ways that partnerships between the public and private sectors can be enhanced to improve cyber security.
